About the Burnlaw centre

Burnlaw Centre is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run community arts and wellbeing space in the Allen Valleys, Northumberland. We have a really lovely and unvarnished place that we want to share with groups who find themselves marginalised through identity, creativity or spirituality. Come and talk to us about what you would like to do here!

Burnlaw Centre is looked after by the residents of Burnlaw - an old quaker farm, home to a multi-generational group of households. Our small, loose knit community is informed by co-operative values, environmental consciousness and a broad and welcoming spirituality. We know that a warm and loving welcome is important for all the people who come here and we find that Burnlaw provides opportunities for people to explore their creativity and spirituality and connect with nature in ways which can be profound and transforming. Events, gatherings and projects that take place at Burnlaw therefore become a little bit part of our community for their duration.
